This is particularly true when interest rates have remained historically low for a significant period of time. However, they will be rising in the not so distant future, which could see a significant increase in monthly mortgage payments. On a <a href=\"https:\/\/backup.articusfinance.com\/ch\/high-loan-to-value-mortgages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #45818e;\">high-value property<\/span><\/a>, even a small increase in interest rates can add a substantial amount to your monthly outgoings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">Here, our client was looking to acquire a competitive remortgage deal for their main UK residence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #134f5c; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">Our client<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">Our client was a long-term <a href=\"https:\/\/backup.articusfinance.com\/ch\/self-employed-mortgages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #134f5c;\">self-employed<\/span><\/a> British national living in the UK. Their need was to remortgage their main residence, with a requirement to secure a long-term fixed-rate mortgage deal to negate the expected rise in interest rates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">As an additional aspect of this application, the client kept most of their money within their business and so we needed to source a lender who would be comfortable taking into account the average net profits accrued by the business as opposed to his personal income.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><strong>Our solution<\/strong><\/span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>We utilised our extensive network of <a href=\"https:\/\/backup.articusfinance.com\/ch\/private-bank-mortgages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #45818e;\">private lenders<\/span><\/a> to source a partner who was able to offer the long-term competitive fixed-rate mortgage deal that the client required. They were also happy to accept the client\u2019s net business profits to secure the mortgage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;\">Ultimately, we secured a \u00a31.95 million remortgage deal against a property value of \u00a33 million.
